Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan is scheduled to perform live at Dubai’s Global Village on Sunday, January 26, 2025. This special event, part of the 29th season celebrations, also marks the actor’s 29-year journey in the film industry. Fans can look forward to:

  • A live performance by Shah Rukh Khan on the main stage at 8:30 PM.
  • Interactive games, trivia competitions, and surprise activations.
  • A celebration of his cinematic milestones, including his enduring 1995 classic, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.

Season 29 Enhancements and New Additions

Global Village’s 29th season, which commenced on October 16, 2024, is the largest to date, boasting 30 pavilions representing over 90 cultures. The destination has introduced several exciting new features and enhancements to elevate the guest experience:

  • New Cultural Pavilions: Three new pavilions have been added: Jordan, Iraq, and Sri Lanka & Bangladesh, offering unique cultural insights and authentic shopping.
  • Transformed Dining Experiences: Over 250 dining options are available, including:
    • The all-new Restaurant Plaza, featuring 11 two-story restaurants with diverse global cuisines and live performances.
    • Upgraded Floating Market and Railway Market with fresh designs.
    • Fiesta Street, now with vibrant double-story kiosks.
  • Green Promenades: Spacious green promenades with expanded seating areas and custom-designed benches provide relaxing spaces for visitors.
  • Thrilling Attractions: With over 200 rides, games, and attractions, highlights include:
    • Returning favorites like Neon Galaxy X – Challenge Zone and the House of Fear.
    • New additions such as Secrets of the Lost City, a treasure hunt for ages 10 and above.
    • The upcoming Exo City Planet attraction.
  • Engaging Entertainment: Over 40,000 shows and performances, including:
    • The brand-new Cyber City Danger Zone Stunt Show.
    • International acts and bespoke shows on the Main Stage.

Enhanced Connectivity

In a move to improve accessibility, a new public bus service linking Ras Al Khaimah with Global Village was launched. This service, a collaboration between the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA), the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai (RTA), and Global Village management, provides convenient transportation for visitors. The one-way ticket is Dhs30, with booking and payment available via the “RAKBus” smart application.
